The Mehndi ( or Henna ) ceremony is a pre- wedding celebration where the bride and her female family members and friends get their hands decorated with intricate henna designs. This is not only a joyous celebration but it also symbolizes the strength of the connection between the wife and her future spouse.
On the day of the ceremony, the bride is typically escorted to her couple’s home by her parental aunt and is welcomed by the female members of the groom’s community with red bits of wealth( little like we might discover a “celebrity” generate a royal entry at their ceremony).
